Yep! That’s right! My first blog post. Hi! If you’re reading this, thank you so much! I’m part terrified and part really excited about this (mostly excited).
My name is Lisa Grimm. I’m a public relations professional with a knack and love for emerging technology and its application in the world of communication. I’ve created this blog to chat broadly about communication, with a focal point on the HOW to communicate both in general, and as it pertains to the revolutionary changes in technology, its tools and the shift that has created in the communications matrix (check out more about me, if you’re still interested after reading this:). My inspiration to create this blog comes from a few sources:
- You! Yes, you. If you’re reading this it is likely that you inspired me to become a better participant in the discussion by creating and sharing content about what’s going on out there from a unique perspective.
- Discrepancy. As a participant in the conversation about this revolution, I’ve realized that there is a large gap in the learning curve among many people out there and I want to try to help by providing some (additional) helpful content.
- Since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by human behavior and what prompts people to do the things they do. As a life-long observer and learner, I think it’s important to touch on human behavior (being human) and the hows and whys, because after all, that’s what is responsible for all of this.
My Goal:
- SHARE. LEARN. MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Learning from others is one of my biggest passions in life. It is because of what I learn from others that has inspired and allowed me to start this dialogue. I hope that this becomes a forum where by sharing, people come back and teach me and others what’s going on out there and how together we can draw constructive conclusions, solutions and make a difference.
I look forward to going through this process with all of you. I need your help to be good at this (SERIOUSLY), so please, constructive criticism and feedback is welcomed and greatly appreciated.
One last thing… To you and your families, Happy Thanksgiving!
